Plouffe is phull of it
Senate Democrats defeated a House GOP-backed stopgap continuing resolution to fund the government through Nov. 18 by a vote of 59-36 on Friday. The $1.04 trillion measure contained $3.7 billion for disaster aid, $200 million of which was offset by cuts to green energy programs, including a loan account that once helped fund the now-defunct, controversial solar panel firm Solyndra. Plouffe insists that Congress must pass a resolution to keep government functioning without tying disaster aid to offsets.
That’s right, you read that correctly. The House has passed (PASSED, as in it’s in the Democratically controlled Senate™ now!) a continuing resolution (still no budget, because the Democratically controlled Senate™ won’t allow it to pass) to fund the government through November 18. They cut $200 million out of $1.04 trillion dollar total (that’s 0.019% of the total budget) by cutting green energy programs.
Hmm, $200 million out of $1.04 trillion isn’t a lot, is it? Perhaps I’m overstating it. Let me see, I heard on the news today that the GOP (again, who have PASSED this spending bill in the House) and the Tea Party (who are holding House leadership hostage, even though no one with T behind their name has been elected yet) are endangering FEMA with this latest stunt. OK, $3.7 billion is IN the bill, waiting to be passed by the Democratically controlled Senate™. That $200 million is 5.5% of that $3.7 billion.
Ok, then. Guess since we won’t fund Solyndra, that means we are starving Grandma, again. Along with endangering people in states that are on fire with Governors denying climate change. Got it.
Who is holding who hostage, again?
This is just another case of keeping the donors happy. What’s the definition of cronyism, again?

That’s right, the person in the administration that is in charge of monitoring funds for green energy programs, Steve Spinner? Yeah, his wife is the lawyer working for Solyndra. Seems they give a lot of money to Obama (more so than Clinton). Go figure.
