National Geographic 9/11 GWB Interview

I stayed up too late last night watching this.

It started out like I expected, with the pictures of confused looks and indecisive faces. I expected this, but then something else happened. The producers started to show how determined Bush was through the episode, and how much he cared about what perceptions were being formed about him, and his reactions to events. The earlier scenes were then placed into context, because that is exactly what that time represented: indecision and confusion. The show wouldn’t have been honest if they hadn’t included them. Turns out it was quite a good show, and I recommend it to anyone.

Now if we can get someone to cover the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in such an honest fashion, we’d have another good show!

Edit:
Airs again tonight, 8/29/2011: National Geographic: George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview
