Administration allowing the Trans-Alaska pipeline to dry up?
Interesting theory, but it sure fits in with the actions of the Obama administration, and it’s treatment of energy reserves. Output for the pipeline has been slowly falling off (1/3 of it’s original capacity), and no new drilling means this trend is not going to reverse itself soon. I didn’t realize there was a clause in the original approval that stipulated that if the pipeline became non-viable, it would have to be dismantled.
Good way to pay back environmental groups, and stick a finger in the eye of one of your opponents (Sarah Palin).
