Rick Perry and Texas Job Numbers

Geez, I’m turning into All Perry, All the Time™.

PoliticalMath: Rick Perry and Texas Job Numbers

This guy is not a Perry fan, but he gives a great breakdown of Texas job numbers, and some fallacies bloggers are promulgating.

Haven’t clicked the link, but I’m gonna comment anyway.

When people put down Texas’ job performance they often say, “Well, they’re oil jobs and it’s all because of the price of oil going up.”

    Ummm, okay.
So how about we produce those oil jobs elsewhere like in the Gulf, Alaska and NY (Natural gas, shut up)?

Couldn’t agree more. Why not “manufacture” that money, instead of sending it overseas? How many jobs does paying Saudi Arabia for oil create?

For former gov’t officials who help the Saudis during their tenure in the gov’t.
